Imaging the past

FOLLY FLYOVER-assemble, London,UK 2011

The Folly for Flyover project in London (by ASSEMBLE, UK) wants to accept the existence of the space under a motorway’s overpass to prove that even this (usually) abandoned places could have a new life and could be a resource for the city. How did they make this? They imagined that the motorway has been built around the house which existed before.

This project had a great strength point: the participation of volunteers in the building process which allows people to get involved in this process and really feel the change of that place.
